The Eaton Canyon Nature Center Associates mission is to develop in children and adults an appreciation of the natural world and to preserve Eaton Canyon as a natural area for future generations.

Your Membership Donation helps us to

  • Sponsor Nature Center programs (e.g. Community Festivals, Weekly Family Nature Walks, Summer Twilight Programs, Moonlight Walks, and Speaker Presentations)
  • Train Docent-Naturalists to lead nature walks and interpret nature to all age groups
  • Conduct ongoing volunteer training, operate the gift shop, publish maps &amb; nature guides, and assist staff with visitor services and animal care
  • Conduct youth nature education (e.g. Guided School Tours, Weekly Story-Time, Animal Presentations, Youth Group Tours &amb; Service Projects, and Nature Camps)
  • Provide bus transportation grants to schools to enable field trips to Eaton Canyon (“Partners in Nature”)
  • Organize and staff school and community outreach programs (e.g. Nature in a Box, Nature Booths)
  • Support the Center’s Native Plant Gardening Group, Park Conservation Group, and the Wild Habitat Park Stewards Program
  • Produce and distribute the monthly “Paw Prints” membership newsletter and maintain the website
